I’m sharing this because it seems as relevant today as when the song was first composed… apparently, some things never change!

When interviewed by Rolling Stone magazine, John Fogerty was asked, “Does ‘Who’ll Stop The Rain’ contain lyrically specific meanings besides the symbolic dimension?” His response: “Certainly, I was talking about Washington when I wrote the song… (Songfacts)

  1. I hope this comes through. The site seems to be opposing me today. I really appreciated hearing this song; it has been a long time. Memories of an earlier life for me and, like so much of the music from then that I loved, filled with actual meaning. Thanks

  2. So it seems that I am not the only one having difficulty today! As for the music, it has always been my favorite CCR song. I fear I might sound like my father if I say that they don’t write them like that anymore.
