She, Wisdom, stands in a high place beside the way where paths meet. She lifts up her voice, but few hear her call. The gaze of most fall to the earth, seeking the shiny and sparkling things they treasure.
She, Wisdom, dwells with prudence and finds knowledge and discretion. She hates pride, arrogance, and the perverted mouth; the evil way. She loves those who love her, though. Those who diligently seek her will find her. Her fruit is better than pure gold, and her yield better than the choicest silver.
She, Wisdom, was with the Lord before the acts of creation. She was His delight, and She rejoiced in Him. It was by Wisdom that the Lord created all that is known to humankind. Of Wisdom it is written, “For he who finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord. But he who sins against me injures himself; all those who hate me love death.”
Who denies this Goddess, this Lady, what She is due?
