There is a hidden place within all of us; an occluded place.

A dark place.

It is dark because we want it dark.

We do not want others to see.

We do not want to look.

It is human nature; a part of us.

How can we not look?

How can we confess our sins?

Look again.

Who do you think you are?

There are infinite shades between black and white;

But only two are pure.

If you do not know yourself for true;

Then you lie to all.

Who do you think you really are?

The mouth reveals the heart; there are no real secrets.

Who knows the power of words better?

The righteous judge or the mystic healer?

The Witch knows nobody need be cursed

Whose words fall at their own feet.

As you sow, so shall you reap.

What you send out returns.

Simple, ancient wisdom.

You expect heaven,

But show no grace?

A Child of Wisdom

A Child of Wisdom once walked among humankind. Although His words were simple, some people did not understand Him.

He said, “You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits.”

He also said, “The sower went out to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell beside the road, and it was trampled under foot and the birds of the air ate it up. Other seed fell on rocky soil, and as soon as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture. Other seed fell among the thorns; and the thorns grew up with it and choked it out. Other seed fell into the good soil, and grew up, and produced a crop a hundred times as great.” He also often added, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

Even His close traveling companions wondered about His manner of speaking and its meaning, so they inquired about it. The Child of Wisdom explained that He spoke in this way because the understanding of the mysteries was not granted to all; although they may have ears to hear, they do not understand. He then explained the meaning to His companions.

The Child of Wisdom spoke with simple words, using common examples of Life to explain His simple wisdom. Those that did not understand His wisdom eventually killed Him. However, His words and deeds were recorded for posterity.

An age has passed and many claim to understand the words of the Child of Wisdom, but they do not bear good fruit.

Do you understand?
